What exactly is a NEED?
A NEED is your request to get something SOLVED. A NEED is not limited to any topics. You can express a NEED for getting a math or a programming problem solution, or you may need an advice about nutrition or excercise, or you need a solution how to fix something. Basically, you can express a NEED for anything that you NEED!
What exactly is an OFFER?
An OFFER is your personal ad, where you can offer a service or a good. An OFFER is not limited to any topics. You can express an OFFER stating that you are a professional in some field and you can put a link to your CV. Or you can advertise a last minute travel deal, or link to your private business.
Why am I limited to only 300 characters?
The idea of Quickker is to be a place when someone can express their NEED or OFFER in a few simple sentences that get to the point. If you NEED a solution to something, just be percise, and people will answer in the same fashion. You can enter a link to a problem, and a reply can also contain a link to the solution. Quickker is here to offer you a centralized space where questions get answered. If you OFFER something, just say what it is and where it can be looked at it into details. There's no need for Quickker to reinvent the wheel. The tools are there. Quickker is here to help you speed up the process of searching trough different sites.
How do I add a new NEED or a new OFFER?
Very simple. If you are not at the home page, just click on the Quickker logo at the top of the page, and you will be redirected to the home page. Make sure that you have selected a NEED or an OFFER accordingly. Try being as percise as possible in expressing your NEED or OFFER, because more people will be interested to answer. And you will get as percise answer as the question was.
I don't want to delete my post since I have some good replies. Can I hide the post from being displayed?
Sure, just click on the DEACTIVATE below the content of the post, and that is all.
What do you mean by "SOLVED?"
Hopefully, any NEED and any OFFER can be solved. If you get a reply that does SOLVE your problem, accredit the person who solved it.
Can I send a private message to another user?
You can send a private message to another user as a reply to a NEED or an OFFER. Just select PRIVATE above the reply text.
What are the Plus and Minus signs for at each post?
If you would like to keep track of the answers to a certain post, in order to save time of searching for it each time, just bookmark it by one click to the Green Plus sign. If you want to stop following the post, click the Red Minus sign.
How can I see all the posts I follow?
Just click on the link "The posts I follow", and you will have them displayed.
What does "FOLLOW ME" mean?
Instead of adding friends to your profile, you can add users which Quickker activities you would like to follow. That will add the user to the list of users you follow, and you can easily access their profile where all their Quickker activity is displayed.
Please explain the Stats functionality on my page.
Stats show your activity on Quickker. Your visibility throughout the site is influenced by your stats, meaning - more activity brings more visibility, so you can be listed as a Featured Quickker of the day, or some of your OFFERs or NEEDs may be displayed more often at the home page, etc...
